"Where Clay Meets Play". Born out of our desire to have fun, create and educate the community, the Clayground was established in 2025 by locals Rachel & RJ. Rachel fell in love with ceramics during her time at the University of Florida and has been pursuing it as a career for 6 years and counting, establishing Recess Ceramics as her brand. RJ comes from a background in business operations and sales and was looking for purpose after an unfulfilling corporate job could no longer be the answer. Together, we have created the Clayground as a space for our customers and members to learn about ceramics, create art in a shared space, and, above all, have fun.

We offer a multitude of different products and services, including:

  • Memberships for ceramicists looking for a place to throw, fire and glaze their work, at different tiers

  • Try-It & Date-Night beginner classes
